The Ontario Self-Employment Benefit (OSEB)
This is an opportunity for people who are unemployed to “Hire Yourself”.
This program is administered in partnership with Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (MTCU) to provide financial support and entrepreneurial
development, coaching, counselling, networking and workshops for those
creating self employment by starting a new business.
How to Apply:
- Attend an OSEB information session (please see our events page)
- Complete the OSEB Application and your business plan
- Contact Employment Action Centre (EAC) for employment
assessment and develop Return to Work Action Plan (RTWAP)
- Determine Eligibility with Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (MTCU) - Chatham
- Meet with OSEB Coordinator, at CFDCCK, to assess if this plan
is right for you
- Obtain recommendation from the CFDCCK OSEB Coordinator

About a Program" form online and begin the path to successful
business creation.
